Overton & District Bowling Club
St Mary's Avenue, Overton
Access is via St Mary’s Avenue (LL13 0EQ), turn right into the car park and a short walk along the side of the Tennis Courts leads to the entrance. The new bowling green (still referred to as the “New Green”) was officially opened by Martyn Jones MP on Saturday 13 September 2003.
Come along on a match evening or afternoon to learn more
about the Club.
A warm welcome is extended to all.
Woods are available for anyone wishing to “have a go”.
Application forms to join the Club are available at the Green
Hard-working members devote a great Funded by AVOW, this shelter was
deal of time to the upkeep and erected in 2009.

The Club is affiliated to the County of Shropshire and the Oswestry & District League.
There are 6 teams.
- A Team play League matches on Tuesday evenings in Division 1
- B Team play League matches on Wednesday evenings in Division 3
- C and D Teams play League matches on Thursday evenings in Divisions 5 and 6 respectively.
- All home matches commence at 7.00pm
- There are two Veterans Teams who have matches on Friday afternoons which start at 1.30pm.
Tables, fixtures and results of all matches are to be found on the Oswestry Bowls website which is updated every week during the season.
Cups are competed for each year.

The Open Competition for players in the Oswestry & District League is held at the end of September
Village events are supported with enthusiasm and a Coffee Morning is held during September.
